The Rhode Island Department of Health advises people not to drink the water at our Hope Valley location at this time. Bottled water is available at our front desk for our patients’ use until our final mitigation plan is approved by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
Wood River Health’s Hope Valley well water system does not currently meet the new public drinking water regulations due to an exceedance of acceptable levels of a certain chemical. This exceedance is the result of a recent change in the requirements established by the Rhode Island Department of Health. About half of all Rhode Island facilities are having this issue because of the new standards. Wood River Health is implementing treatments to reduce the levels of contaminants in our drinking water to ensure they fall below the new standard.
Please see our public notice regarding the water at our Hope Valley location.
